  • Met a older lady and she loves family history so we met her at the church and she told us that she has been looking for her grandpa for many many years and has gone to Halifax and searched but cant find anything on him!  So we said a prayer and started searching and within 15 minutes we had found her entire family for many many years back and she was almost in tears! The best part was their work had been finished!! BEST DAY EVER!!

I also had a ton of people run up and start taking pictures with me.. so that was fun!! haha!
  • It has been SO cold this week! I am starting to realize that people weren’t kidding when they said its miserable to be outside!! This week I got frost nip on my fingers and they have been turning white and blistering SO.. its really fun!! haha!!
  • The Milky Way is so beautiful every night out here in the boonies!!
  • We finally had our first snow.. and.. its.. cold!!!

The Gospel is the most amazing blessing in my life.  Heavenly Father IS our actual and literal Father in Heaven and he lives and he loves each and every one of us.  He blessed us with families that we can have through the eternities and that is the COOLEST thing ever!!   We have a LIVING PROPHET on the earth today, like WHAT? We are so lucky!!   Our brother Jesus Christ came to earth and he taught and he loved and he served!! He suffered the atonement so that he could help us through the good and the bad, the happy and the sad. I know that Joseph Smith saw what he said he saw, and that he translated the Book of Mormon to be a safeguard for us against the adversary in the last days. I know that each of us play a role in the winding up of this dispensation.  I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that the lessons taught within its pages were written for our benefit.  I love this gospel and I am so privileged to be teaching people about it EVERY DAY!!!   How blessed am I?   SO BLESSED!!   and the BEST part about it is that every single person.. all of us.. can find that truth out for themselves as well!   All you have to do is ASK!

Love You!!

Brandy, and the Sister Missionaries

What a good week,  Where to start?:

  • We had some really great lessons his week that have been keeping us really busy and it’s so awesome. Isn’t the gospel so amazing?  I love seeing it change people.
  • Are you ready for your life to be changed.. I was introduced to the newest invention this week, wait for it… Glitter poop pills!! Have you ever wanted to poop sparkly?  Well now you can!!   They’ve got pills for that!  haha:)   Never tried it but if you do please inform me on how it goes!
  • One of our investigators this week finally made the decision to be baptized this week so that was really exciting. There will be a lot of work from here on out though to get to that point, but with God she can do it.
  • One of our investigator’s son got drugged candy! He woke up in the middle of the night high and sick and he is only seven year old. SO SAD!!
  • We had exchanges in Freddy-town (Fredericton) this week with Sister Bailey. She is from Utah and went to Northridge high!  She is so awesome!!  My focus for the exchange was the Book of Mormon and focusing on the Doctrine of Christ in EVERYTHING I do.  EVERY contact I have.  So all day we played a game and along with using the Doctrine of Christ in my contacts,  We would point out random objects and we would have to relate it to the gospel.  I felt VERY accomplished when I related the Gospel to a Garbage Can:  Repent: Throwing your sins away.  Baptism/Sacrament: Garbage truck comes and takes your sins.    Holy Ghost: Calendar that guides you to know that you can get rid of them.  Faith: That the Garbage truck is going to keep coming.

And it is all made possible through the Atonement of Christ!!!!!! 🙂

It was super fun! I also did an air conditioner, traffic cone, and many other random objects along our path.  It really helped me a lot to understand how to take simple things that people says and or do and relate it back to the gospel so that I can show people how they live the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • While on my exchange we ate at this really yummy Poutine’ery. ( I think that I am a Canadian at Heart) Poutine is Fries+Gravy+Cheese Curds+ any meat or vegetables you want!! YUM!
  • On Sunday we had the privilege of teaching the young women’s lesson on how you can become converted. It was so fun and brought back so many memories.

Conversion is an ongoing process. Every member of this church whether baptized at 8 or not, is a convert. Why? because we have to be continually trying to improve, continually working at our testimony, continually coming to know the savior and his teaching to become continually converted.

Don’t let those moments of great joy, change of heart, and conversion escape your mind.  Remember them!! Record them in your journal!!  Share them in your testimony!! Ponder on them often!!

And now behold, I say unto you, my brethren, if ye have experienced a change of heart, and if ye have felt to sing the song of redeeming love, I would ask, can ye feel so now?

Love, Sister Kilmer

I got a Flu Shot.. it gave me the Flu

    Happy Birthday Sis Kilmer

    P-Day Hiking

    Saran Wrapping the Elders Car

  • Last P-day we wanted to check out the area, so for our Halloween activity we went on a hike to see the area. It is SO beautiful here, but VERY flat! haha! The hike was like some hedgehog something, but I didn’t see a hedgehog so that was lame!
  • I am officially 2 decades old now so that’s awkward. haha. I got to spend my birthday at Zone conference and it was SO GOOD!  The MPB (Sister Pratt) gave us all a bottle of Vitamin D so we don’t get depressed. So that was nice.
  • The sun finally came out for the first time since we got here during our weekly planning on Friday so we ran downstairs to see it and by the time we got there.. it was gone!! So for now it looks like we are sticking to the “Happy Pills” (Vitamin D)
  • Prank of the week: We saran wrapped the Elders car while they were at the Bishops house for a dinner appointment.. hehe!!
  • We were eating at a members home and they have been teaching their little girls that if they want to grow tall then they have to eat their vegetables, so when one of them would eat her salad I was like,”I love vegetables they are so yummy.” and she looked and me and said,” then why are you so short?” haha… looks like I am going to have to think of a different tactic when I have kids cause shes got a point!!
  • We were all encouraged to get flu shots because of all the junk going around. So I got a flu shot. Guess who got the flu? So on Sunday I got shunned to my apartment all day by the mission nurse and that was so NOT fun haha!!
  • Went knocking LOTS this week and go to meet so many amazing people. One day we knocked for an hour and got about 5 people that said we could come back! The next day we went out for about 3 hours, had 3 doors open, and of those three people.. NONE of them liked Mormons haha!! Good Times
  • We did a Family History booth at the University here and it was so fun! I loved raising awareness of Family History Work!  Do it!!  Its fun!!:)  Surprisingly we had quite a few that were interested, it may or may not have been that I lured them in with Chocolate Chip Cookies.. but whatever works works eh?
The Prophet Joseph Smith once Declared that all things which pertain to our religion are only appendages to the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Christ suffered the Atonement out of love for his Father and for us and was able to “answer the ends of the law required for our sins.” (2 Nephi 2:7) He subjected himself to the penalty that the law required for our sins, thus “satisfying the demands of Justice.” (Mosiah 15:9, Alma 34:14-16)
As we repent, we are able to feel God’s love and mercy lift our burdens off our shoulders. “Though yours sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” ( Isa 1:18)
“All his Transgressions will not be mentioned unto him” (Ezk 18:22)
“Behold he who has repented of his sins, the same is forgiven, and I, the Lord, remember them no more.” (D&C 58:42)
HEALING. HOPE. HELP. LOVE. The power of Christ and his Atonement is a safeguard and a foundation of which we are asked to build our lives upon.
Come unto Jesus, ye heavy laden,
Careworn and fainting, by sin oppressed.
He’ll safely guide you unto that haven
Where all who trust him may rest.
Come unto Jesus; He’ll ever heed you,
Though in the darkness you’ve gone astray.
His love will find you and gently lead you
From darkest night into day.
Come unto Christ and be perfected in HIM! Exercise your faith in him, by letting him take away the pains you feel.
I love you and God loves you!
